Executive Assistant to the CEO & HR Officer

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and discreet individual to serve in a dual-role as Executive Assistant to the CEO and HR Officer. This is a pivotal position that combines high-level executive and personal support with strategic human resources responsibilities for a team of approximately 20 staff and 10 contractors.

You will manage scheduling, internal and external communications, assist with project coordination, support company HR processes, and help streamline both professional and personal administrative tasks for the CEO.

Key Responsibilities

Executive Assistant to the CEO

  • Manage the CEO’s calendar, meetings, and travel arrangements.
  • Draft correspondence, presentations, and internal communications on behalf of the CEO.
  • Track key deadlines, action items, and priorities from meetings.
  • Support CEO-led projects and initiatives with research, formatting, and coordination.
  • Liaise with donors, partners, and vendors as needed.

Personal & Household Administrative Support

  • Assist with coordination of family-related logistics and household tasks (e.g. school forms, utilities, medical appointments, childcare arrangements).
  • Communicate and manage appointments with vendors and service providers (e.g. home maintenance, deliveries, visa renewals).
  • Provide basic translation (Khmer ↔ English) for documents, emails, or communications as needed.
  • Help with general errands or personal tasks that intersect with professional obligations.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and discretion in all personal matters.

Human Resources Management

  • Lead recruitment and onboarding processes for staff and contractors.
  • Ensure compliance with Cambodian labor law and donor requirements (e.g. USAID, DFAT).
  • Manage employee records, timesheets, contracts, and benefits.
  • Facilitate performance reviews and staff development initiatives.
  • Cultivate a supportive and inclusive work culture through HR systems and support.
  • Address HR inquiries and maintain internal HR documentation.

Qualifications

Required

  • At least 5 years of professional experience in a similar executive support and/or HR role.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication in English and Khmer.
  • Trustworthy, discrete, and respectful of personal boundaries.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and standard productivity tools.

Preferred

  • Experience with HR in a donor-funded or social impact organization.
  • Familiarity with Cambodian labor laws and HR compliance.
  • HR certification or training in personnel administration.
  • Valid driver’s license or reliable mobility is a plus.
