Team Leader / Lead Researcher (Anticipated Funding)

Summary:
Glean Asia is seeking a qualified Team Leader / Lead Researcher for an upcoming assignment, contingent upon donor approval and funding. This position will lead a multi-disciplinary research team in conducting a rapid assessment of digital wage payments in Cambodia’s tourism and agro-processing sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, implementation, and delivery of the assessment.
• Serve as the main point of contact with government, UN agencies, international NGOs, and other stakeholders.
• Oversee research methodology and ensure gender and social inclusion are integrated.
• Lead report writing and validation workshop presentation.
• Ensure deliverables meet high-quality standards and deadlines.

Qualifications:

• Master’s or higher degree in Development Studies, Economics, Labor Studies, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience leading research teams in labor rights, digital finance, or decent work contexts.
• Demonstrated experience with ILO or other UN agencies preferred.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Excellent written and spoken English; Khmer an asset.
