Position: Online Marketing Specialist (Consultant)

  • Location: Phnom Penh, Cambodia (with travel to Preah Vihear and Takeo)

  • Duration: 12 months

  • Project: Community-Based Tourism (CBT) Support Package

Role Overview

Glean Asia is seeking an Online Marketing Specialist to develop and implement digital marketing campaigns that will promote community-based tourism destinations. This role will focus on leveraging SEO, social media, content marketing, and online advertising to increase awareness and attract visitors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a digital marketing strategy targeting domestic and international tourists.

  • Create SEO-optimized content, video marketing, and social media campaigns.

  • Manage advertising on social media platforms, Google Ads, and other digital channels.

  • Develop and oversee the creation of destination websites, blogs, and interactive media.

  • Work closely with the Branding Strategist and Tourism Specialist to align online marketing efforts with branding initiatives.

  • Monitor and report on campaign performance and optimize strategies based on data analytics.

  • Train local tourism businesses on digital marketing best practices.

Key Objectives

  • Increase online visibility and visitor engagement for CBT destinations.

  • Ensure that marketing campaigns are data-driven and optimized for performance.

  • Support sustainable tourism growth through digital innovation.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Digital Marketing, Communications, or a related field.

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in online marketing and digital strategy.

  • Strong expertise in SEO, SEM, social media marketing, and analytics.

  • Experience with tourism or travel-related digital marketing is preferred.

Key Competencies

  • Strong understanding of Google Analytics, Facebook Ads, and content marketing strategies.

  • Ability to develop data-driven campaigns that drive engagement.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
