Job Summary

We are seeking a Finance Officer who will be responsible for the day-to-day financial management and recordkeeping of our growing operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and brings strong accounting and reporting experience in nonprofit or social enterprise settings.

This role ensures compliance with local tax regulations, manages payroll, supports budget planning, and maintains accurate financial records using tools such as QuickBooks and Excel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and post daily financial transactions in accounting systems.
  • Reconcile monthly bank, credit card, and mobile money statements.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, including issuing invoices to clients and following up on outstanding payments.
  • Process payroll and maintain staff payment records.
  • Track and report on petty cash and office expenses.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
  • Assist with annual budget planning and financial forecasting.
  • Ensure compliance with local government financial regulations and reporting standards.
  • Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and external accountants for filings and audits.
  • Organize and maintain digital and physical financial records, receipts, and supporting documents.
  • Support the operations team in improving financial systems and internal controls.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required).
  • 2–5 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping roles, preferably in development, nonprofit, or social enterprise sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, Cambodian tax regulations, and financial management best practices.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and financial reporting tools.
  • Experience issuing digital invoices and using cloud-based accounting systems is a plus.
