We’re a team of development professionals who use data and human-centered design to help people change their world. With ten years of experience in creative problem-solving and empowering communications, we’re interested in enabling people to understand problems and create sustainable solutions.


David Burton

executive director

Dave is from the UK, and he's a specialist in communications for international development (C4D). 

Dave loves helping people and organisations to communicate across dividing-lines of geography, economics and culture, and he's helped meet communications needs in contexts from disaster-relief in Pakistan and community development in Bangladesh to region-wide communications strategy and training in the Mekong.


Jesse Orndorff


Jesse is from the USA, and founded Glean in 2011. He's consulted as a designer and project executive for clients including Splash, USAID and the World Bank.

His ability to bring together user-friendly design with top-tier development has helped our clients to improve the lives of thousands of people by ensuring they have access to world-class digital resources.
